• PRF -Platelet Rich Fibrin

  PRF can be added to microneedling services or injected for hair and skin restoration. PRF is collected by obtaining a blood draw, spinning the sample down and collecting the cells which contain growth factors and supporting cells. Consultation is required prior to scheduling to determine whether or not you are a candidate. PRF Injections The PRF process begins by drawing a small amount of the patient's blood, similar to a standard blood draw. The blood is then processed using a centrifuge to separate the platelets and growth factors from the rest of the blood components. The resulting platelet-rich fibrin is a golden-yellow substance that is rich in essential growth factors, cytokines, and other bioactive proteins. This fibrin can be injected to stimulate cell turnover, collagen production, and creating new blood vessels. PRF injections can improve pigmentation as well as skin firmness, texture, and thickness. PRF Hair Restoration Once the PRF is prepared, it is applied to the targeted areas of the scalp where hair loss or thinning is a concern. After treatments, you can expect your skin to feel warm for several hours and turn pink over the next day or two. The next day you may have some "track marks" especially over bony spots (cheeks, jawline). You may also experience a gritty feeling that may last a few days. Expected downtime is 2-3 days.
